Unity for Growth (UFG) was established in 2017, with the purpose to explore and seize opportunities available to empower the youth to lead a meaningful life and provide assistance to underprivileged members of society. Given the high unemployment rate in the country, the high substance abuse, high crime rate, UFG has adopted an approach where attention will be given to disadvantaged youth, to give them life skills that will secure a better future.
Other key campaigns will be targeting disadvantaged members whereby basic amenities will be provided such as food parcels, toiletries, blankets, clothes etc. UFG is about proving assistance; empowerment, upliftment, inspiration and promote sustainable development within communities.
BACKGROUND
South Africa is today inundated with a myriad socio-political challenges. It is still grappling with the triple impact of high unemployment, inequality and poverty in the country. This is exacerbated by an emerging acts of lawlessness, morality, corruption, as such the onus is upon all South Africans to device practical solutions that can lead to a step closer to an ideal state. In most instances a hypothesis can challenge that children who have received better education opportunities fair better in life when compared with disadvantaged children who were never exposed to modern teaching.
In the digital era, children require modern forms of teaching in order to succeed. Access to data poses a serious challenge as online learning and research will not be possible when there is lack of data. Disadvantaged children are required to work harder to get to the same level and in most instances fail to advance to the same level of their advantaged peers due to lack of resources. This programme is set to address such life misalignments to promote inclusivity and access to basic resources.
Children need to be nurtured at an early age in order to engage meaningfully in the society and make a better living for themselves. Grassroots training programmes are geared towards closing the access gap and to provide the disadvantaged youth with a remarkable opportunity to gain access and be able to impact the future through being part of the socio economic initiatives in the society. Disadvantaged children bear the brunt of being in a vicious cycle of poverty and lack of sustainable growth. Most of the children grow up to even miss out on opportunities including getting meaningfully employment where they can be self-sustainable.

Unity for growth is premised on the basis that children are the future of the country therefore robust tactics are required to invest in their future to ensure they lead a successful life. UFG is about empowering, uplifting, building self-love, self-confidence and personal pride of the African child. UFG aims to harness their skills, inspire the youth to dream big and aspire to have a better future.
